Latest Updates from Our Project:

The remaining rewards - Transport damage and upcoming projects
over 4 years ago – Tue, Mar 15, 2022 at 05:21:59 PM

Whoa, what's that? Scroll down to learn more!

Hi everyone,

it's been a while since our last update and at this time we were expecting to inform you that everything has been shipped.

For most Backers that is the case, but for the few of you still waiting we do plan on having everything shipped by the end of this month. Sadly we fell a bit behind schedule when we ran out of wash and our supplier did not have any wash available either, so the painting process had to be postponed for a few weeks. But everything is already prepared for when we get our delivery (which should be next week). From there it will only be a few days of applying the wash, giving it a day or two to dry out thoroughly and getting those last few dice towers to the post office.

Which brings us straight to the next topic. While we've been shipping without any issues since December, last week we had a total of 5 cases where people received heavily damaged packages with also damaged dice towers. We don't really know what happened, maybe a delivery truck had an accident or something like that - definitely a very odd situation.

Nontheless, we would like to let you know, that you are not obliged to accept any package that arrives at your doorstep in a poor condition. You always have the chance to deny acceptance if a package is heavily damaged - in this case it will be sent back to us at no extra charge. You also have the chance to have noted, that your package was damaged upon arrival.

This doesn't change a lot for you, we'll always replace your damaged pledge rewards - but it helps us a lot in handling those cases, as we don't have any chance to file a complaint and claim the insurance if the package is simply accepted as it is.

This being said, for now it was a one-time occurance, we'll add more stuffing materials to the packages as a precaution and hope that things go as smoothly as the first 3 months of shipping these towers.

And last but not least, we have a new project coming up! Now that most of the Midgard Serpents have been delivered and the few remaining are close to being finished, it's time for us to take things to a new level. After the success and lot of positive feedback for our Midgard Serpent here on Kickstarter, we decided to build upon our concept of sculptural dice towers and release another one to kick off 2022.

This is the Frost Phoenix Dice Tower - a sculpture consisting of 3 Phoenix models, ice shards and some magic winds. What's new is, that we will also offer this sculpture not only in plain as well as the metallic colours you are used to. We'll also offer it in translucent resin with a blue tint, giving it a truly unique look.

If you're looking to build your collection, feel free to check out the PREVIEW.

We're currently waiting for Kickstarters approval, but plan on launching the project either this thursday or at some point next week.

Best regards,

Martin & Mario

Christmas comes early! A little update on shipping.
over 4 years ago – Tue, Nov 30, 2021 at 12:41:31 PM

Hi everyone,

we didn't expect to get back to you with an update this early. But as it turns out we are facing a severe issue regarding the Jörmungandr scultpures. They are massive and our storage shelf is full – so our only option seems to be to start shipping by the end of this week, way ahead of schedule!

Jokes aside, with painting the sculptures and dice towers piece by piece, the first ones are ready for shipping and we don't really see any reason to not send them out ahead of schedule. Especially as we do actually have limited storage space and having almost 100 of those around at some point will become quite the annoyance sooner or later.

At the moment we are looking at 10 to 12 finished sculptures to be sent this week, it's mainly going to be the smaller sculptures.

The address of Backers in question will be locked within 48 hours – you should have received an E-Mail from BackerKit already.

For everyone else we're currently working well within our intended schedule, aiming at fulfilling the last pledges in February of 2022 as planned. As we don't have some sort of fixed weekly schedule it's hard to tell when the next batch of Midgard Snakes will be ready for shipping or how big it's going to be, but you can expect to see some more dice towers to be on their way before Christmas and every once in a while after that.

Backers will always be notified by BackerKit to check their address 48 hours before they are locked – as long as you don't receive any message from BackerKit, it just hasn't been your turn yet.

As soon as your reward is on it's way, you will also be able to check your tracking code by logging into BackerKit. For Backers who have pledged for the game and the sculpture, it might actually be two tracking codes in some cases, as game and sculpture might get sent separately.

Of course, with all those pretty snakes in stock, we'll also share a couple of pictures with you, now that it's not just the prototypes but the real deal!

Old bronze, matte shading
Bone, matte shading
Warm gold, matte shading
Metal, matte shading

Let us know if you are interested in receiving another update for each batch about to be shipped, or if we should keep quiet about it and just be in touch with the Backers in question, as it might get frustrating to see things shipped while still sitting at home waiting.

We look forward to your feedback and as always: If there's any questions or concerns, feel free to be in touch with us, preferably in the comments below, we're always happy to help and in the comments other Backers with a similar issue may find help right away.

Best regards,

Pledge Manager about to go live! Find all the info in this update.
almost 5 years ago – Fri, Sep 24, 2021 at 07:18:50 AM

Hi everyone,

we know it's been a bit of a wait, but the last few weeks were pretty busy for us with finishing production of our Space Scenery project as well as preparing for the first real life events after almost 2 years of Covid-break.

First things first: We did expect those things to get a little bit in the way of this project, so we are still on schedule for our intended shipping date in February even though the Pledge Manager has been delayed for a couple of weeks.

The Pledge Manager is now live, at first only for a small group of Backers to check if everything works as intended, after the weekend it will be available for everyone.

In the following we would like to show you the colouring options we came up with. The colour of your figurine will be determined in two steps.
In the first step you select a basic colour. Our palette includes a lot of different metallic options, as we felt that they would be working best with the design and theme, but also some basic colours.

In the second step you select a shading for your model – this is optional, but for most colours it really highlights the details of a model. When it comes to shading, we highly recommend the “Matte”-option for any metallic colour (as represented in the pictures). If you are looking for a clean, shiny metallic look, not having any shading makes for the better effect – metallic and glossy are two very different types of reflection and glossy metallic always seems kind of odd to look at (it's more like wet or slimy). Then again, if that's what you are looking for – the option is there.

When it comes to the non-metallic colours, the matte shading really helps bring out the details, while the glossy option gives the model a polished or in some cases gemstone-like look.

Most of our testing was done on our Ratatöskr Miniature, as it makes for a great representation of what the colours look like on different surfaces.

As we didn't specify a lot of the colour options while running the campaign, we felt that it would be a little unfair to our Backers if they could only make a choice within the colour range we chose after the campaign. So if you have any special requests for a colour, just message us with any colour you would like, we can make that happen. May it be some model colour you know, or just a colour-code, we'll be working from what you give us and make your vision a reality.

We tested a couple of odd colours as well, but decided against making them our default in the end. But if this is what you would like to have - get in touch.

While we know that most of you are already familiar with BackerKit and Pledge Managers in general, we would like to give you a quick overview of how the Pledge Manager works from here on. If you are already familiar with everything, feel free to skip this section of the update.

At first you will be receiving an E-Mail from BackerKit. Follow the link provided and you will end up at the survey. First you will be asked to confirm your Pledge Level and Shipping Location. Be aware, that the basic shipping cost is now already added to your Pledge - it will be paid through the Pledge Manager at the end of the survey. Hit "Get Started!" for the next step.

If your Pledge Level includes one of the Midgard Snakes, you will be asked for your prefered colour and shading. In case you also backed a game, you will also be asked for your prefered language version of the game in the next screen - VALHAL is available in German as well as in English.

To finish the survey, you will also be offered to join our monthly newsletter. Of course this is completely optional - but if you are interested in receiving regular updates of all our upcoming projects, this is the best way to do it.

After finishing the survey you will end up in the Add-ons section. This is where you have the chance to get additional Figurines or Games to add to your Pledge. If you have Pledged €1 for the Pledge Manager Access, this is where you can get your items that you did not back for in the campaign.

After hitting "Next" you will be asked for your shipping information.

Continuing you will be asked for your payment information to cover the cost of shipping and potential AddOns. Depending on your location, BackerKit provides the same payment options as Kickstarter does. After confirming your survey is finished.

We will be locking surveys and charging cards rather quickly and on a regular basis, as we are about to start production and plan on shipping in several waves as soon as the first orders are complete.

Game-only Pledges will be shipped immediately after the survey is closed.

When your survey is closed, this only means that you won't be able to change your order anymore. You can always change your address. You will receive an E-Mail with a 48 hour warning before your address is locked as well. Should you be in the process of moving in that period, please be in touch with us so we can hold your shipment until your address-situation is clear.

As always, if there's any questions or concerns, please be in touch with us, we are always happy to help. The easiest way to do so is right here in the comments or on the project page. Other people who may have the same question get a chance to find their answers there and we won't have to reply to individual messages. But of course you may also send a PM or E-Mail to us, if your question contains any private information.

As soon as we have made some progress on manufacturing we will be in touch again with another update, letting you know about our schedule and how things are going from here.

Best regards,

Martin & Mario

Thank you for your support!
about 5 years ago – Fri, Jul 16, 2021 at 01:01:47 AM

Hello again,

it's done! The campaign has come to a successful end and first of all we want to thank all of our 104 Backers for being a part of it.

So what's going to happen now?

The first action to take will be setting up the Pledge Manager. We've never had so many €1 Backers in a campaign, so we assume it's what a lot of you are already waiting for. Normally we try not to let too much time pass between the end of the campaign and the launch of the Pledge Manager, so we plan on having it up and running within the next 2 weeks.

Of course you'll receive an E-Mail from our partner BackerKit as soon as the survey is live, but we'll also be posting an update here where we will also give you an overview of the options for your figurine/dice tower and possible AddOns to your pledge.

We won't keep the Pledge Manager open for very long, as this only causes unnecessary issues. So we will probably lock the surveys and charge cards after another 2-3 weeks, to avoid things like people forgetting about the campaign or credit cards dating out.

After the Survey is closed, we will start finalizing the project and will be able to share some more details about the manufacturing schedule and so forth.

For everyone who hasn't been part of any of our previous campaigns. In case you are looking for some more interaction, feel free to check out our Facebook page and/or join our Facebook-Group to get in touch with the VALHAL-Community.

If there's still any open questions or concerns that need to be addressed, feel free to leave a comment on this update or directly on the campaign page, so others who may have similar questions get a chance to read along. We're always happy to help and do our best to get back to you in time.

Of course you can also reach us over direct message here on Kickstarter or under [email protected] for more private matters.

Best regards,

Martin & Mario

Welcome!
about 5 years ago – Thu, Jul 08, 2021 at 02:45:13 PM

Hi everyone!

It's been a little more than 6 hours into the campaign and we cleared the first big bar, which is our funding goal!

At this point we would like to welcome everyone who is already part of the campaign. It's great to see this positive response to our latest project and as always we are especially happy to see familiar names from previous campaigns. In the following you will find a short introduction to Tetrahedron Games.

Tetrahedron Games was founded back in 2016, we ran our first successful Kickstarter campaign in 2017, resolving in the release of our first game VALHAL in 2018. In 2019 our cardgame Dodoresque: Jungle Fever as well as it's second edition Dodoresque: Cherry Blossom were released.

We also launched the Kickstarter campaign for our second print of Valhal in 2019, including many upgrades compared to the first print.

In 2020 we added the brand Miniature Evolution to our lineup, focussing on highly detailed resin miniatures, often with a twist, like in our Dodoresque Deluxe Edition which was Kickstarted the same year.

Now, in 2021 we have big plans to expand the Miniature Evolution. We Kickstarted the first edition of Dodoresque 2021, adding 12 Dodo-Miniatures to the cardgame, earlier this year. The upgrade for the second game, Dodoresque: Cherry Blossom will follow soon.

We have also launched our first magnetized terrain sets for tabletop games and are currently working on more variations of 3D-printable (and printed) terrain to broaden our lineup.

And of course we also have this project, a massive, highly detailed, hand-painted thematic midgard serpent dice tower.

Over the course of this campaign we normally don't post a lot of updates. We know that most Backers don't read them at all, others are actually annoyed by a constant flow of messages, so we usually keep it to the important stuff in our updates.

If you are looking for some extra content, feel free to check out our Facebook page: facebook.com/miniatureevolution

And if you want to be in touch with us, maybe with a question, feel free to post it in the comment section of the campaign page. We will get back to you as quick and in detail as possible.

Until the next update, we would like to thank you for your support and hope you have a great start into the weekend.

Best regards,

Martin & Mario
